Dual Credit National Government
Course Description:
National Government is a basic, introductory course that acqhaints the student with the workings of the American government and the political system that supports it. Emphasis is on governmental structure, using the historical approach to answering the questions as to why the U.S. system has developed in the way that it has. The Constitution is covered in detail with emphasis on citizen's rights and responsibilties, the Bill of Rights, and how interpretation of the document has changed life in this country. This course will include the Constitution test which is required for all graduates in the state of Missouri as well as the End of Course exam.
